Yoga - for sleeping disorders

This course is directed at helping people with sleep disorders such as insomnia or sleep apnea. Through Gitananda Yoga there are various Asanas and Pranayam techniques that help people suffering from such disorders. Most of these are either caused or aggravated by stress and the regular practice of Yoga helps in reducing stress levels, thus producing a state of peaceful harmony at all levels of existence.

There are a number of exercises that can be performed to help us attain constant sleep. In this chapter, simpler exercises are demonstrated which can be performed by most people. After getting a firm grip on these, one can move onto more challenging postures.

Moving on to other exercises that can be performed once you are familiar with the initial concepts. Certain amount of flexibility and controlled breathing is necessary in order to complete these exercises. Ensure that your posture is as demonstrated in order to get the full benefit while performing.

These set of Asanas, Pranayama, Mudras and Kriyas are for expereinced practioners as you require a greater degree of body control to execute them. Ensure that you are well versed with the preceding exercises to carry the ones in this chapter as improper technique might do more harm than good.
